MLK Marsh Madness Gala

On Sept. 29, friends and supporters of MLK Health Center & Pharmacy and Dr. Robert H. Jackson gathered to celebrate 30 years of providing health care and pharmacy services for the uninsured at their Marsh Madness Gala held at Margaritaville Resort Casino.

Over 200 supporters came out for an incredible evening that included live music from the band Caravan, dinner catered by Margaritaville, and a surprise birthday cake for Dr. Jackson. Excellence in Academic Partnership awardees: NSU College of Nursing and School of Allied Health, LSU Health Shreveport School of Allied Health Professions, LSU School of Medicine – Shreveport, Centenary College of Louisiana and LSUS.

Marsh Madness was their largest fund-raiser to-date, helping them support thousands of chronically ill patients who find themselves without a medical home.
