Young Professionals Initiative names top 40

Forty young professionals under the age of 40 have been selected by a special committee of the Young Professionals Initiative of Northwest Louisiana to be honored with the 40 Under 40 awards at the 10th annual YPI 40 Under 40 Gala presented by The Forum at 7 p.m., Dec. 3, at the Shreveport Convention Center.

From the list of 40 Under 40 honorees, one will be named the 2016 Young Professional of the Year. This special announcement will be made at the gala. The 40 honorees will be profiled in the Nov. 9 edition of The Forum. The winner will be recognized in the Dec. 7 edition of the magazine.

With the induction of the 2016 40 Under 40 class, a total of 400 young professionals have received this honor in Shreveport-Bossier City.

“On any given day in Shreveport- Bossier City, you will find talented, innovative and dynamic young professionals blazing a trail of greatness through our community. These young professionals have positioned themselves as emerging leaders and strive to ensure that we all have a great place to live, work and play,” said YPI Executive Committee President Emerie Eck Gentry. “We are very excited to be announcing the 10th 40 Under 40 class, a group that is diverse, excels in the workplace, and makes a valuable impact through their philanthropic endeavors. The Young Professional Initiative is honored to highlight and celebrate in the achievements of these fascinating young professionals with this prestigious award.”

The Dec. 3 gala will kick off with a cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m. with dinner starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Shreveport Convention Center. General seating tickets are $65 per person, and event sponsorships are available.
