Love for the arts, love of downtown Shreveport and a passion to see both change the face of our city is enough to motivate Linda B. Goldsberry and Jason Brady to conjure up the cool new in-spot known as Parish Taceaux. Located adjacent to artspace at 708 Texas St., it is a culinary adventure.”

Parish Taceaux would not have been possible without the generosity of Goldsberry, who funded the renovation of the space at 708 Texas St., as well as the contributions of Chris Elberson and Billy Hargrove of Somdal Associates, McInnis Brothers Construction and the Shreveport Downtown Development Authority and the Downtown Shreveport Development Corporation.

Restaurateur Jason Brady’s newest dining inspiration is, in Brady’s own words, “a gringo taqueria that is fun, upbeat and a place to be happy in downtown Shreveport.”

“The development of a space to house a Jason-Brady style restaurant within artspace of the caliber of Parish Taceaux was very important to me as a way to honor my late husband, Hood Goldsberry,” Linda said. “Hood loved Shreveport, and he loved what was good for Shreveport and what would make it a better place, because it was his place! He thought SRAC (Shreveport Regional Arts Council) and artspace were making Shreveport a better place. Because Hood always wanted value for his money, he decided to put his money in SRAC because he could see the value it was bringing to this community. I am proud to continue the legacy of support that Hood started with the funding of Parish Taceaux at artspace,” added Goldsberry.

“I have always dreamed of having a spot in downtown Shreveport, but I never could find the right opportunity until Linda Goldsberry and artspace,” Brady said. “I am very excited to be a part of the growth of downtown. I can’t wait to see the synergy with the neighboring businesses. Since (we opened) we have been overwhelmed by the support from both the downtown community and those coming downtown to have a good time and enjoy the arts,” added Brady.

The avocado fries are a crowd favorite. The “taceauxs” are filled with unique Louisiana ingredients including buttermilk catfish with a chow chow topping and spicy pork belly. One of the popular nacho dishes is topped with Louisiana shrimp. The business is catering to the lunch crowd and staging a vibrant happy hour and an early downtown dinner.

Parish Taceaux is open at 708 Texas St. in Shreveport, Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
