MAY 28: SCIENCE ON SCREEN, Robinson Film Center pairs the documentary “Antarctica: A Year on Ice” with a talk from Charles Kirkland, wilderness first responder with the U.S. Antarctica Program. The event starts at 5:30 p.m. and is $10 (free to RFC members).

MAY 30: SHREVEPORT FARMERS MARKET, with 140 booths of locally grown produce, meat, honey, plants, artisan food products and Market Cafe. The farmers market takes place in Festival Plaza at 101 Crockett Street from Market Street to Commerce Street. Saturday markets take place from 7 a.m. to noon from May 30-Aug. 29 with the exception of June 20. JUNE 4-6: THE 2015 NORTH AMERICAN FLYBOARD CHAMPIONSHIP, on the Cypress Lake Park. During the three-day event, more than 70 of the world’s best FlyBoarders will compete for $30,000 in cash prizes.
