The East Texas Oilfield Expo, which has taken place in Longview, Texas since its launch in 2011, will move to Shreveport in 2015 and is now the Ark-La-Tex Oilfield Expo.

The Ark-La-Tex Oilfield Expo will be April 1-2 at the Shreveport Convention Center.

In addition to the need to accommodate growth, industry factors contributed to the move.

The show consists of 475 booths, including indoor heavy equipment space, and will open to oil and gas professionals 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 1 and 9 a.m. to noon April 2.
