Kalmbach Smith Meadows honors 30-year benchmark
Kalmbach Smith Meadows, a local full-service marketing firm, recognizes the current team members who lead the company into the 30-year benchmark: Courtney Wimmert, graphic designer; Chris Copellar, graphic designer; Brian Ledoux, media director; and Sharron Fowler, office administrator.
Wimmert manages clients’ daily print ads, website development, social media and multi-media graphics all with the stroke of a key and has found real talent in pulling it all together. Wimmert graduated from Louisiana State University – Baton Rouge with a bachelor of fine arts degree in graphic design and a minor in art history.
Post-graduation, she worked in the LSU Athletics Department managing production of the university publications and other collateral material. She also worked with the LSU University Relations Department and the Baton Rouge Parents Magazine. Since her employment with the agency in 2012, she has become the lead designer and recently won a 2015 Bronze Addy Award for her Barksdale Air Force Base Open House and Air Show Campaign (billboard, poster, program cover).
Copellar keeps things grounded and moving in the KSM graphics department. As a graphic designer, he is responsible for the creation of design files used for marketing and presentation purposes that include branding, collateral material, commercial video production and advertising.
He works in print and digital media for select KSM accounts.
Copellar received his bachelor of arts in graphic design from LSU-Shreveport and obtained a master of liberal arts degree with a concentration in animation and visual effects.
He has approximately four years of professional graphic experience in print and film. Prior to his work with KSM, he worked on the feature film “Olympus Has Fallen” as a digital compositor integrating elements into live action. Copellar is continually finding ways to grow himself and the KSM by enhancing new 3D skills with a focus on architectural visualization and texturing.
He was just recently awarded a 2015 Bronze Addy Award for his development of the Highland Clinic website, a Gold Addy for the Highland Clinic Billboard Campaign, and a Special Judges Award for the Highland Clinic Billboard Campaign.
Kalmbach Smith Meadows was one of four agencies to receive a Special Judges Award from the American Advertising Federation Shreveport-Bossier in this year’s Addy Awards ceremony.
Ledoux, the newest member to the team, made KSM his home in no time. Ledoux is the media director for the KSM team, keeping the work flow smooth and seamless.
He not only manages the internal work flow, but also acts as the liaison between the firm’s local, regional and national media outlets.
As media director, Ledoux is responsible for client budgeting of media strategies including social media, platform/outlet media management, traffic and reporting.
Ledoux received his bachelor of science degree in marketing from Louisiana Tech University.
Before joining the KSM team, Ledoux worked as a sales associate for several years in the Shreveport-Bossier City area.
Ledoux is an active volunteer with the Habitat for Humanity, and a past member and diplomat of the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce. Ledoux was part of the creative team that received the 2015 Addy Special Judges Award for the Highland Clinic Billboard Campaign.
Fowler keeps operations at the firm running smoothly – answering every squeaky wheel with a logical, reasonable solution. Fowler is responsible for purchasing, office scheduling, administrative assistance, and AP/AR. When she is not keeping the KSM team straight, she is “GriGri” to two grandsons.
Kalmbach Smith Meadows is celebrating 30 years in the industry.
In 2002, Kalmbach Advertising became Kalmbach Smith Meadows under the new ownership of Cindy Smith and Andy Meadows.
The two purchased the agency to further expand the talents and capabilities, and progress from strictly an advertising agency to a full-service marketing firm.
In 2010, Smith became the sole owner of KSM and continues today to build the firm on over 30 years of history, relationships and rewards in the industry.
