The Better Business Bureau is accepting nominations for the 2014 Annual Torch Awards.

The BBB will recognize businesses in four categories – Integrity Category (practicing integrity in the marketplace), Customer Commitment Category (businesses that have an outstanding customer service program), Good Neighbor Category (businesses and their employees that play a significant role in support of local organizations and charities) and Not-For-Profit Category (not-for-profit organizations). The Torch Award Banquet will be Oct. 30 at East Ridge Country Club, Shreveport. Cocktails will be at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner and presentation of awards. The BBB will also honor the recipients of scholarships for students majoring in business from Louisiana State University Shreveport, Centenary College, Southern University-Shreveport, Bossier Parish Community College, Northwestern State University, Natchitoches and Louisiana Tech-Bossier. The featured speaker will be Jay Dardenne, Louisiana Lt. Governor.
