Conducted by Eileen Czerwinski, MA Tuesdays, Noon 4th Floor Conference Room This support group is designed to help patients and their loved ones discuss the emotional challenges and other concerns often faced by patients with cancer.
Look Good, Feel Better
Conducted by the American Cancer Society and Cosmetologists Monday, July 7, 11:30 a.m. 4th Floor Conference Room A two-hour hands-on workshop includes a 12-step skin care/make-up application lesson, demonstration of options for dealing with hair loss and nail care techniques. Participants receive complimentary cosmetic kits and instruction booklets.
Coping with…Cancer from a Patient’s Point of View
Presented by Sandra Timmons, cancer survivor Wednesday, July 9, Noon 2nd Floor Conference Room This workshop is designed to assist cancer patients and families find resources on symptom control through medications, nutritious eating tips and lifestyle changes that will be of value during and after treatment. Each month we will focus on a new symptom.
Woman to Woman: What are the Recommendations for Screening Tests?
Presented by Destin Black, MD Wednesday, July 16, Noon 2nd Floor Conference Room This educational program gives female cancer patients and their loved ones information on issues unique to their treatments and side effects. Patients also will have the opportunity to discuss their concerns with knowledgeable healthcare professionals.
