Monday, April 21, 2 p.m. Alta and John Franks Community Centre Enjoy an afternoon of history, intrigue and adventure with book reviewer Ann King. In “George Washington's Secret 6,” Bryan Kilmeade , with Don Yaeger, details the activities of the Culper 6, who worked as a spy ring on behalf of Gen. George Washington in New York City. Washington and his army had been forced to retreat from New York City in the fall of 1776, yet Washington recognized New York City for its importance geographically and as the second largest city in the 13 colonies. Historians have discovered enough information about this group’s activities to credit them with turning the tide of the war. Cost: $5, nonresidents. Registration is required.

Since the extreme consequence is amputation, foot care for someone with diabetes becomes a daily priority.
