Krewe of Aesclepius: Founded in 1990, the Krewe of Aesclipius is the second oldest Mardi Gras Krewe in the Ark-La-Tex. Krewe of Ambassadeurs: Founded in 2001 at a monthly Minden-South Webster Chamber Ambassador Committee meeting. The Minden committee began a search for a name, and after some discussion, it was decided they would call themselves the Krewe des Ambassadeurs as they reflected on their Chamber Ambassador service to the community. Krewe of Artemis: Founded in 2002 and named for Artemis in Greek mythology who was protector of the woodlands and the hunt, the Springhill krewe promotes area community projects including Habitat for Humanity. How to join: Find them on Facebook
Krewe of Atlas: Founded in 2006, the Krewe of Atlas is Shreveport-Bossier City’s newest Mardi Gras Krewe. The krewe is founded on the principles of equality. Krewe of De Les Femmes Mystique: Krewe de les Femmes Mystique is Northwest Louisiana’s oldest all-female krewe. It celebrates not only the festivities of Mardi Gras but also serves the community. Krewe of Dionysos: Founded in 1998, the Krewe of Dionysus hosts a family friendly night time parade consisting of a dozen or more super fl oats, lots of throws including beads, cups and specialty items and marching bands. Krewe of Elders: Founded in 1998, the Krewe of Elders is a Mardi Gras nonprofi t incorporated organization for senior citizens 50 and older.
