Get in the spirit of the season as Maestro Michael Butterman and members of the Shreveport Symphony’s string section present a preview of the symphony’s Holiday Pops concert. Louisiana Dance Theatre dancers will perform and the Live Oak Chorus will lead a sing-along of holiday favorites.

A Modern Day Lazarus Experience

Guest speaker: Auther Patrick Hawthorne

Patrick Hawthorne, a resident of Shreveport, graduated from the Word of Life School of Ministry in 2002. Several years afterwards he was given the privilege of returning to the school as an instructor. His first book, “Great is Thy Faithfulness, A Modern Day Lazarus Experience,” was written after the miraculous healing of his dad following cardiac arrest in 2012. His second book, “Simply Grace, Grace to Live a Godly Life in this Present Age,” was published in 2013. Hawthorne will discuss the events leading to writing his books.
