Top Businesses of the Year Luncheon

The Forum and J. Pat Beaird Memorial presented the Top Businesses of the Year Awards Luncheon Oct. 3 at the Shreveport Country Club. The Industry of the Year Award was given to Kilpatrick Life Insurance Company, Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Homes, Cemeteries, Crematory and Flower Shop. Small Businesses of the Year that were recognized included Loksafe Services, Shreveport Limousine, Smiths South- Central Sales Company, SPF Depot, TravelHost of Northwest Louisiana and Vintage Realty Company. The Keynote speaker was Dan Clark.

NWLA Small Business Summit

The Small Business Summit ushered in its second year with a press conference to kick off the Small Business Summit 2:30 p.m. Sept. 25 in the Mayor’s Conference Room. Press and sponsors were in attendance. The summit was held Sept. 26 at the Shreveport Convention Center. Small business owners got the chance to network and learn from other business professionals.
