After a wait of many years, Red Lobster finally makes it to Shreveport- Bossier City, opening a location on Mansfield Road. Red Lobster (along with Outback Steakhouse) begins an in flux of chain restaurants that hasn’t abated to this day.


Author, William Joyce, (Bill to those who know him), is a star on the local arts scene and glitters pretty brightly nationwide also. His brilliantly illustrated children’s books win the love of young folk and adults alike. He has collaborated on movies, created window designs from prominent New York department stores, is being courted by Disney for his talents and most recently staged a production of one of his books for local theater. Wow!
