CHRISTUS Health Shreveport-Bossier has announced Sept. 6 as the official close date of certain services on the Schumpert campus. CHRISTUS Northern Louisiana Chief Operating Officer Dr. William Lunn said the services to be closed were previously announced and are the emergency department, most inpatient units, surgery and day surgery.

“We will continue to operate the neonatal intensive care unit, The Birth Place (labor and delivery), the cancer treatment center, the breast center, the wound center, the inpatient rehabilitation unit and Dubuis at the Schumpert campus until we can relocate those services to our CHRISTUS Highland

campus,” Lunn said. “We are building new facilities at the Highland campus on Bert Kouns to accommodate those services that are moving.”

Emergency, inpatient and surgery/day surgery services will continue to be available to both adults and children at CHRISTUS Highland. Grace Home will remain in its current location at 1035 Margaret Place.

CHRISTUS Health is an international, faith-based, not-for-profit health system comprised of almost 350 services and facilities, including more than 60 hospitals and long-term care facilities, 175 clinics and outpatient centers, and dozens of other health care ministries and ventures.
