Kitchen: The grand opening for Kitchen & Bath Cottage’s new location was held April 25. Now located at 6505 Line Ave., owners Terry and Mary Ann Elston will show off their custom cabinet and kitchen/lighting shop in the former Colony House. They served tenderloin sliders, Parmesan-crusted bacon with avocado and Louisiana wing sauce, brie and baby lobster nachos, and drunken espresso milkshakes. The next day, invited guests and clients enjoyed more food from Garth Blackburn, a wellknown chef, at a brunch.

BCOA: Participants were “Stepping into Spring” at the Bossier Council on Aging’s Senior Style Show on April 25 at the Hilton Garden Inn. Ed Walsh and Sonja Bailes emceed as the models, while escorted by the Barksdale Air Force Base 307 Reserve, showed off clothes from Dillard’s. Virginia College received special thanks for styling the models’ hair.

Tech: Louisiana Tech Head Football Coach Skip Holtz was one of the featured speakers at Tech & Tails VI on April 25 at the Bossier Civic Center. This was one of the fi rst opportunities for Tech supporters to meet Holtz, who joined the Tech family in December. Alumni and fans enjoyed crawfi sh and shopping for merchandise.

Party: On April 25, graduates of Fair Park High School’s class of 1963 had a planning meeting for their 50th high school reunion at Good Eats on Youree Drive in Shreveport. More than 30 people gathered to plan the gala event that will take place Oct. 25-26 at East Ridge Country Club. Festivities will include a tour of the school, a memorial service and a fi sh fry Friday night. The gala is Saturday night. The Fair Park graduating class of 1963 had more than 300 students.
