The Parade of Homes will be from 1-6 p.m. June 1-2 and 8-9. Tickets can be purchased at all area Brookshire’s grocery stores as well as each participating home on the tour route.
Hosted by the Home Builders Association of Northwest Louisiana, the Parade of Homes event has been a part of the community almost as long as the Home Builders Association itself since the early 1950s.
Committed to presenting the latest in style, technology and design, the Parade of Homes showcases residential properties in various neighborhoods around Shreveport and Bossier City. This year, 56 homes will be available for touring, including new construction and remodeled homes. The tour enables the community to get a behind-the-scenes look at current trends and exciting design developments – perfect for searching for a new home, looking for inspiration for their own home or those just window shopping. According to executive of cer of the HBA Dixey Robertson, the organization always strives to keep the event fresh.
“In the past couple of years, we have added remodeling and outdoor living to our showcase, which have both proven to be big crowd pleasers,” Robertson said.
They have also launched a smartphone app, which will provide users with directions along the Parade route and details on each home.
The Home Builders Association of Northwest Louisiana was established in 1955 and represents over 600 local members in the construction, remodeling and development industry. Dedicated to serving members on a local, state and national level, the HBA participates in state and federal legislature and developments involving residential and commercial construction issues, and they work to promote the best interests of our area builders and residents.
The HBA also serves the community as the go-to source for industry information and resources. They connect the public to the best resources Shreveport and Bossier City has to offer in the construction and remodeling eld, and they facilitate relationships between the community and home industry.
