Recently, The Forum was awarded eight awards from the Louisiana Press Association. Competing in the “Special Interest and Free Publication” category, The Forum won awards for the following: Best News Story, third place; Best Regular Column, honorable mention; Best Lifestyle Coverage, second place; Best News Coverage, second place; Most Effective Use of Graphic Design on a Single Page, first place and honorable mention; Best Photo Package, second place; and General Excellence, third place.

Dallas Goins has been appointed to Creative Director / Production Manager, and Brittany White has been promoted to Designer and Style Editor. Goins and White make up The Forum’s art department. White designs and styles CityLife’s “Style Watch” feature. Both bring years of expertise in the field of visual arts to their positions. The Forum recently welcomed Elliott Stonecipher as a guest columnist and Kelly Berger as a contributing photographer. Berger covers Shreveport-Bossier City’s nightlife for CityLife’s “After Hours” feature.
