Famous painting comes to life

On the sunny evening of May 7, the Frierson Plantation played host to more than 125 people dressed in black and white attire for The Aioli Dinner Supper Club, presented by the George Rodrigue Foundation of the Arts. Famous for his “Blue Dog” paintings, George Rodrigue also has a famous Cajun painting, “The Aioli Dinner,” from 1971, which was George Rodrigue’s first painting featuring people. The Shreveport Aioli dinner was sold out with more than 125 people attending. The event raised $110,000, which has been the highest attended and most money raised at an Aioli Dinner.
