From summer to fall, Couture MakeupBar and Salon has your style at their fi ngertips 

Faith Good Wojcik, owner of Couture MakeupBar and Salon, offers women a one-stop beauty shop for hair and makeup.

“We cater to women of all ages and strive to be a location that is up to date on all things associated with the beauty industry,” Wojcik said. “We want women to feel relaxed and get educated to be able to recreate any look on their own.”

“My favorite part of my job is making our clients feel their best. I love when people come in and allow me to show them something new or add a special touch to achieve a look they didn’t think was possible.” Wojcik said.

Wojcik, a local to Bossier City who is very involved with the community and with her church, has a passion for helping people view themselves in their best light.

“Everyone is their own type of beautiful. I enjoy getting to show women that,” Wojcik said. “I feel my biggest accomplishment to date is being able to look back on the last decade and know there have been numerous clients, employees and friends that I was able to play a role in making a small difference in their lives in this way. I feel God has blessed me with a gift, and I love being able to give back to people.”

Couture MakeupBar and Salon offers special occasion and wedding services. Whether it be a consultation, engagement, bridal session or a shower, Couture does it all.

“From the perfect lip color to the most stylish up-do, we will take care of the little details so brides can focus on their special day,” Wojcik said. “We have a beautiful salon with plenty of space for a bridal party. We really cater to our brides, so no request is too big or too small.”

But the fun isn’t just for the brides.

“We enjoy doing all different kinds of makeovers, from cotillions and proms, to Mardi Gras bals and stage performances,” Wojcik said. “We also offer parties of all kinds, from ladies’ night out to simply a few friends wanting to get together and learn how to achieve the perfect smoky eye.”

Couture has its own makeup line known as Pretty Cosmetics.

“We have a large clientele of women that come in wanting a new look, and also of young ladies wanting to learn proper makeup application,” Wojcik said. “We really specialize in providing the perfect colors for skin tone to make sure you get the right products for you.”

Wojcik is seeing several new trends this summer and is eager to reveal those to old and new clients alike.

“This summer we’re putting all of our heavy contouring on hold for the ‘non-touring’ look,” Wojcik said. “During the summer, you want a more natural, soft look for the day. Applying a lighter foundation or a tinted moisturizer is ideal. Instead of a heavy matte lip, which is beautiful for fall, go for a moisturized look of a gloss or lip oil instead. This summer, the ‘candy apple’ lip is all the rave.”

We had a wonderful time with Terri Eddington at Legacy Photography. We were able to use our creative side with these models. This was so much fun for us to be able to showcase our artistic style. Our key makeup artist, Kayce Best, went with more of a wintery snow princess look with a pop of color to really bring out the model's beautiful features. This look is one of our favorites! With our next model, she chose to go with a more edgy feel to show a modern gothic look. It’s not very often you are able to pull off a dark eye along with a dark lip, but we feel this model pulled it off great!
