The fall and winter months are my personal favorite. I love the lightness in the air, and the feel of leaves under my feet when I walk through the woods, or for that matter, across my yard. But, I think the best part about the cooler months is the faint smell of smoke trailing from a distant chimney. Holding your loved one close feeling their warmth contrasted against the frosty bite of open air against your cheek, and that distinct smell of firewood combined with all the other aromas of fall, creates a feel of romance.

Whether by fireside or candle light, sharing these memorable moments can be heightened by an excellent meal. With little fuss required, our fireside romance menu can be enjoyed leisurely with the warmly lit ambiance. Begin with the velvety richness of Welsh Rarebit served over toasted slices of rye. Roasted asparagus, mushroom and goat cheese tarts make the perfect accompaniment for butternut squash soup served in a roasted acorn squash bowl. Happy crisp leaves and brisk breezes – we hope these dishes and delights add warmth to your fall season and celebrations!
