Super Bowl champion Chris Reis was the guest speaker at Gala of Hope, held at the Centurylink Center on Sept. 24. The event benefits First Priority of the Ark-La-Tex. Dinner was served during a playoff of prizes, bracket style, that built up to a winner of a grand prize stay for two to Lost Hills, Texas. Guests wore their favorite football team apparel. The decorations included a football-shaped cross. On stage were lockers, helmets, a chalkboard, bench and footballs. Goal posts were at either end of the arena and guests entered through a tunnel. First Priority unites the body of Christ with a plan of action to influence schools with the Gospel. Nine campuses participate, with more planned in the future.
