Boston’s 29th Annual Mother’s Day Walk for Peace Thousands of community members descended on Town Field Park in Dorchester for the 29th Annual Mother’s Day Walk for Peace. The beloved Boston tradition raised more than $500,000 to support the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute’s work to help survivors of homicide victims and build safer communities. This year’s theme, “Cultivating Cycles of Peace,” highlighted the role and capability of community members to disrupt cycles of violence and promote healing for individuals, families, and neighborhoods impacted by homicide, trauma, grief and loss.
