REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

MBTA Contract No. D02PS01

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is soliciting Design Phase, Bid Phase and Construction Phase Services for the MBTA Back Bay Ventilation, Power and Concourse Improvement’s Project.

The Scope of Services includes, but is not limited to: 30% -100% Design Phase Services, Bid Phase Service (Design, Bid Build) and Construction Phase Services. The conceptual level construction cost estimate for the proposed improvements is $32,500,000. The duration of this contract will be four (4) years, with one option period with two (2) options periods of one (1) year each.

This project is expected to utilize non-federal funding. The DBE participation goal for this project is zero. In addition, the Authority strongly encourages the use of Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as prime consultants, sub-consultants and suppliers in all of its contracting opportunities.

Electronic bids for MBTA Contract No. W43CN05, ALEWIFE GARAGE STRUCTURAL REPAIRS, CAMBRIDGE, MA, (CLASS 12A – GENERAL CONCRETE, $3,500,000, PROJECT VALUE - $3,585,975.07), can be submitted at www.bidx.com until two o’clock (2:00 p.m.) on January 14, 2021.

Immediately thereafter, in a designated room, the Bids will be opened and read publicly.

Work consists of the following: Concrete patching repairs to precast concrete double tee beams, inverted-tee beams and cast-in-place concrete beams; concrete patching of decks; recaulking of deck joints; and repair/ replacement of expansion joints.

Bidders attention is directed to Appendix 1, Notice of Requirement for Affirmative Action to Ensure Equal Employment Opportunity; and to Appendix 2, Supplemental Equal Employment Opportunity, Anti-Discrimination, and Affirmative Action Program in the specifications.
