BROOKLINE HOUSING AUTHORITY REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS TRADE CONTRACTORS ARTHUR O’SHEA HOUSE RENOVATION PROJECT

The Brookline Housing Authority requests Statements of Qualifications for Trade Contractors for the Arthur O’Shea House Renovation Project at 61 Park St., Brookline, MA 02446. The Awarding Authority invites pre-qualifications, pursuant to M. G. L. Chapter 149A, Section 8 of Trade Contractors.

The following are the sub-trades for which qualification packages are being requested:

Masonry, Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron, Waterproofing, Dampproofing, Caulking, Roofing and Flashing, Metal Windows, Tile, Acoustical Tile, Resilient Flooring, Painting, Fire Protection, Plumbing, Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning, Electrical.

This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) will be used to pre-qualify trade contractors who will be invited to submit bids pursuant to Section 8 of Massachusetts General Law Chapter 149A. The estimated cost of construction is $12,500,000.

Request for Qualification Packets may be downloaded from www. BidDocsonline.com or picked up on/after Thursday, March 21, 2019 between the hours of 9:00 am to 3:00 pm from the Owner’s Project Manager’s office: Hill International Inc., 75 Second Ave, Suite 300, Needham, MA 02494.

Statements of Qualifications, in response to this RFQ, shall be signed under the pains and penalties of perjury. Qualifications must be received on/before 4:00 PM Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at the Owner’s Project Manager’s office: Hill International, Arthur O’Shea House Renovation Project, c/o Rick Anderson, OPM, 75 Second Ave, Suite 300, Needham, MA 02494. MASSDOT RAIL AND TRANSIT

INVITATION FOR BIDS REFURBISH 16 GRADE CROSSINGS, S.E. MASS LINES

Mass Coastal Railroad is accepting sealed bids to refurbish 16 grade crossings on rail lines in southeast Massachusetts. The project is funded by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation Rail and Transit Division (MassDOT). This Invitation for Bids is issued pursuant to Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 30, §39M.

THE PROJECT: Refurbish at-grade railroad crossings on the Cape Main Line, Falmouth Secondary and So. Dennis Secondary. Demolish and dispose of existing grade crossing roadway, track, tie and timber; reconstruct track through private and public railroad grade crossings; furnish and install precast concrete grade crossing and rail seal/asphalt crossing surfaces; and ditching, grading and drainage upgrades. Contractor must show evidence of having worked on an active railroad and was able to complete the work with no or few shutdowns and no impacts to Operations. Construction cost estimate is $2,700,000.

Bidders must provide the following information to be considered qualified to perform the work: 1. List of equipment which will be used including hi-rail equipment; 2. Completed Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the Total Bid Price; 3. List of all work within the last 3 years of similar size and scope demonstrating Bidder’s experience and qualifications for this project as described above; 4. List of ongoing projects and 3 references from projects listed; and 5. Approved FRA drug and alcohol testing plan.

Electronic proposals for the following project will be received through the internet using Bid Express until the date and time stated below, and will be posted on www.bidx.com forthwith after the bid submission deadline. No paper copies of bids will be accepted. Bidders must have a valid digital ID issued by the Authority in order to bid on projects. Bidders need to apply for a digital ID with Bid Express at least 14 days prior to a scheduled bid opening date.

Electronic bids for MBTA Contract No. P62CN01, MBTA PHASE 2B – SYSTEMWIDE TRANSFORMER REPLACEMENT, BOSTON, CAMBRIDGE, NEWTON, QUINCY & BROOKLINE, MASSACHUSETTS, (CLASS 5 – ELECTRICAL, PROJECT VALUE – $9,540,110), can be submitted at www. bidx.com until two o’clock (2:00 p.m.) on April 12th, 2019. Immediately thereafter, in a designated room, the Bids will be opened and read publicly.

The work comprises electrical, civil, structural and architectural construction services for the replacement of 11 rectifier-transformers and associated items. The work of this Contract includes but is not limited to equipment procurement, furnishing all necessary labor and material to the complete and satisfactory execution of the Work in conformance with Drawings and Specifications for the Phase 2B – Systemwide Transformer Replacement Project.

Bidders’ attention is directed to Appendix 1, Notice of Requirement for Affirmative Action to Insure Equal Employment Opportunity; and to Appendix 2, Supplemental Equal Employment Opportunity, Anti-Discrimination, and Affirmative Action Program in the specifications. In addition, pursuant to the requirements of Appendix 3, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Participation Provision, Bidders must submit an assurance with their Bids that they will make sufficient and reasonable efforts to meet the stated DBE goal of 12 percent.
