INVITATION TO BID OLD WEST CHURCH

The Old West Church, the Awarding Authority, requests bids for wood frame window repairs at the Old West Church, Boston, Massachusetts, which is listed in the State & National Registers of Historic Places. The project is being partially funded with grants from the Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund through the Massachusetts Historical Commission.

All work must be performed in accordance with the documents prepared by and available from Spencer, Sullivan & Vogt, 1 Thompson Square, Suite 504, Charlestown, Massachusetts 02129 (617-861-4291) and meet The Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties. State law prohibits discrimination. Awarding of this contract is subject to Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity guidelines.

A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Old West Church at 131 Cambridge Street, Boston, MA 02114 on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at 10:00 am.

Bids shall be evaluated on the basis of price, previous experience with similar types of construction projects, ability to perform the work in a timely manner, and references. All bids must be delivered to the architect’s office at the above address no later than 12:00 noon, Wednesday, December 5, 2018 to be eligible for consideration.

LEGAL NOTICE REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

The MASSACHUSETTS PORT AUTHORITY (Authority) is soliciting consulting services for MPA CONTRACT NO. A402-S1, BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE AND DATA WAREHOUSE SERVICES, ALL MASSPORT FACILITIES, BOSTON, BEDFORD, AND WORCESTER MASSACHUSETTS. The Authority is seeking qualified consulting firms or teams, with proven experience in providing on-call business intelligence (BI) and data warehouse services and the technical support needed for the implementation, integration, maintenance, and ongoing development of the Authority’s BI and Data Warehouse Initiative. The Consultants must be able to work closely with the Authority and other interested parties in order to provide such services in a timely and effective manner.

The Authority expects to select three (3) consultants. However, the Authority reserves the right to select a different number if it is deemed in its best interest to do so. Each consultant shall be issued a contract in an amount not to exceed FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS ($500,000.00). The services shall be authorized on a work order basis.

By responding to this solicitation, consultants agree to accept the terms and conditions of Massport’s standard work order agreement, a copy of the Authority’s standard agreement can be found on the Authority’s web page at www.massport.com. The Consultant shall specify in its cover letter that it has the ability to obtain requisite insurance coverage.

This submission, including the litigation and legal proceedings history in a separate sealed envelope as required shall be addressed to Houssam H. Sleiman, PE, CCM, Director of Capital Programs and Environmental Affairs and received no later than Thursday 12:00 Noon on December 20, 2018 at the Massachusetts Port Authority, Logan Office Center, One Harborside Drive, Suite 209S, Logan International Airport, East Boston, MA 02128-2909. Any submission which is not received in a timely manner shall be rejected by the Authority as non-responsive. Any information provided to the Authority in any Proposal or other written or oral communication between the Proposer and the Authority will not be, or deemed to have been, proprietary or confidential, although the Authority will use reasonable efforts not to disclose such information to persons who are not employees or consultants retained by the Authority except as may be required by M.G.L. c.66.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT

MASSACHUSETTS BAY TRANSPORTATION AUTHORITY SOLICITATION FOR ENGINEERING AND DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE DOWNTOWN CROSSING ACCESSIBILITY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT, PHASE II

REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority is soliciting Engineering and Design Services for the Downtown Crossing Accessibility Improvements Project, Phase II. The Scope of Services includes, but is not limited to: Multi-disciplinary Engineering (Vertical Transportation, Structural, Electrical; Mechanical, Civil and Geotechnical Engineering); Architecture; Code Analysis; Constructability Review; Permitting; Scheduling and Cost Estimating; Risk Analysis; Public Outreach and Coordination; Testing and Commissioning; Design Phase, Bid Phase, Construction Phase Services; and Project Close Out. The conceptual level construction cost estimate for this work is $35,000,000. The duration of this contract will be four (4) years.

This project is expected to utilize Federal and non-federal funding. The DBE participation goal for this project is ten (10%) percent of the total amount authorized. In addition, the Authority strongly encourages the use of Minority, Women and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises as prime consultants, sub-consultants and suppliers in all of its contracting opportunities.

BROOKE CHARTER SCHOOL ELEVATOR MODERNIZATION PROJECT BID ADVERTISEMENT

The Brooke Charter School, 190 Cummins Highway, Roslindale MA, 02131 the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from DCAMM Certified Elevator Bidders for the Brooke Charter School Elevator Modernization Project, in accordance with the documents prepared by Kaestle Boos Associates, Inc. from Foxborough, Massachusetts.

The project consists of: Misc. upgrades to the existing elevator (equipment, controls, door & cab) at the Brooke Charter School, 190 Cummins Highway, Roslindale, MA 02131.

The total construction work is estimated to cost $285,000.

Bids are subject to M.G.L. c. 149 44A-J and to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c. 149 26 to 27H inclusive.

Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, Elevators, and must include a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Update Statement. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount and made payable to Brooke Charter Schools.
