THE RISE OF THE TEAM ROPING CAPITAL OF THE WORLD
Many of the resourceful and committed settlers came from Sonora, Mexico, giving this area the distinction of being the northern edge of the Hispanic ranching frontier. Together with Henry Wickenburg and the miners, they helped found the young community of Wickenburg in 1863.

NO EXCUSES
The L4R Tour kicked off at the famed Circle T Arena in Hamilton, Texas, with stops #2 and #3 at Rancho Rio Arena, in Wickenburg, Ariz. Held over two Saturdays in January, the third tour stop saw 1,600 teams compete for a new Ford F350 Dually truck, 20 trophy Cactus Saddles, Gist Buckles and $150,000 in cash.

loves attention. He has been used at local jackpots in the heading, been extensively trail ridden, sorted, penned on and handy broke. He is a goodlooking gelding with a kind eye. This is a horse anyone can enjoy. He is an easy keeper! Watch him work in the preview, will be roping both ends.

EL PEPPY BADGER
on since he was a 3-year-old so he has a lot of experience. He is very gentle. Anyone can ride and get along with him. He has good foot and bone and is made to stay sound. Has been used on the ranch and is good at any job..

BIG RED PADDY
mane and tail. Approximately 15.1 hh This good gelding is the real deal. Quiet in the box, scores good, really smooth, nice move on the corner and faces correct. Gentle and good to be around. Been ranched on and does all ranch chores with ease—doctor, sort and branded on.

DMV SWEET TRACE
switch-ender that will work for a 6 or below header or heeler. He is an excellent ranch horse that loves to take the tie-down off and go ride anywhere. He is safe and sane on the trails, in sorting or branding pens. Gentle enough for beginner ropers and can be used all day.

IM CHASIN CHECKS
winners and her 2016 filly just sold for $65,000 at the NCHA Select Yearling Sale in Fort Worth. Checks is an elite rodeo heel horse and the most talented horse I have ever ridden. He's been hauled and won on at many of the larger ProRodeos as a 5-year-old.

JJS DIRTY HAIRY
big enough to head or heel on. I have taken him outside gathering and other ranch jobs. He was started as a reined cow horse and handles around very nice. He is gentle for anyone to get on and go. He has a very nice sliding stop and makes it easy to heel on him.

RO BITTERS BAY

SCOOTIN NURSE 013
deluxe! Been headed on also. Extremely broke and gentle. Quiet in the box, lots of rate, really cowy and nice stop. This great gelding has worked many jobs on the ranch, including branding, sorting and doctoring. Everyone loves this horse. Nice to be around, smooth to ride and very athletic.

DOCS RARE FROST
Started heading steers, used at brandings and round ups, used to halter break colts, and has been started on the barrels. PC Double Frost is the sire to Rhen Richards’ head horse as well as multiple futurity earners. Gentle enough for kids. Athletic enough to be a big-time head horse.

THE HASSAYAMPA
There are some facts and many theories on where the word Hassayampa was derived. Once an oasis, with water flowing year-round, the western Yavapai made the banks their home, irrigating their crops of corn, beans, squash, and tobacco with river water. The Yavapai referred to the portion of the river nearest Wickenburg as Haviamp.
