I hope you enjoy this issue of The Arena, where you'll find consignments for The Horse Sale at Rancho Rio. You'll also find all the details on the NTR National Finals IV. For three years the NTR has brought you one of the industry's leading Finale events in both team counts and payouts. Each year has offered exciting innovations and the fourth year will be no different. You'll find changes to both the formats and the schedule. It is always our goal to put more money in your pocket and we think you'll find these changes do just that. Remember, anyone can enter the NTR National Finals.

New this year is the #8 Open to the World Truck Roping on Saturday. I'm looking forward to finishing off Finals week with one roper driving home in a new $50,000 trophy truck. Once again, we will be having lots of cash pots early in the week for the ropers to get tuned up for the big Finales.

The NTR's VIP Membership program continues to grow. This year we will have two VIP Championship Ropings at the Finals, with each roping adding $10,000. The only requirement to enter these ropings is that you have a current NTR VIP membership. If you aren't already a VIP member, you'll have the option to upgrade prior to these big added money ropings. This season the VIP program has paid out $45,000 in cash bonuses and we are looking to add more benefits through the coming year to continue its success.

Ty Grantham and I are extremely proud of THE HORSE SALE at Rancho Rio. This year there are 56 select horses that are either finished rope horses or rope horse prospects. The last few years this sale has been the largest rope horse sale in the nation, and after looking at the enclosed catalog of horses, I think we will keep the crown again this year. The preview will take place on Thursday afternoon following the #8 Finale, and the sale will be Friday night. One thing I encourage buyers to do is contact the consignors early, go look and try the consigned horses before the sale. Most of the horses come from return consignors who are reputable horseman. We have added a couple hundred new stalls this year at Rancho Rio, to help with the stall problem the last couple of years. Please call 928.684.3150 to reserve the nights you will need.
