Panamanian and Colombian duo Calle Sur performs a broad range of Latin musical traditions, from joropo and cumbia to samba and punto. Tight harmonies and instrumental precision mixed with energy and beauty and interwoven with interesting stories and humor create a dynamic mix of acoustic flavors from Latin America. The performance is part of Music at the Museum, a monthly concert series produced by Chris Vallillo that features the best in contemporary, traditional folk and acoustic music of all styles. The concerts are held the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. in the museum auditorium. Refreshments are available for purchase during intermission. Admission is $15 for adults and $12 for museum members and children under 12. For more information on the featured acts and a full series schedule, visit the museum website at museumconcerts.com.
