Celebrate the art, food, history and travel of Illinois on Saturday, Sept. 22 during a special “Made in Illinois Tea” at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library. The tea features three courses showcasing ingredients that are grown or produced in Illinois, such as pear scones, apple tarts, a pumpkin roll, pork and chicken items, plus a dish made using Mel-O-Cream doughnuts. The tables will be decorated with centerpieces created by Illinois artists and craftspeople, and the event will feature a presentation by travel blogger Cindy Ladage, who will share some of her favorite Illinois travel destinations, such as a historic round barn, a cemetery-based Lincoln statue and a Dutch-style windmill. Admission to this event costs $35 and reservations can be made online at http://PresidentLincoln.illinois.gov.
