On July 21, bring your brood downtown to celebrate the grand opening of the Kidzeum of Health and Science. The fun begins with a “Kids Day” celebration at the Old Capitol Farmers Market from 7:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. A grand opening event for Kidzeum members only will take place from 9 to 10 a.m. After the membersonly grand opening event a public ribbon cutting will be held at 10 a.m., followed by the official opening of the doors at 10:30 a.m. At that point, the festivities will continue both indoors and outdoors as the Kidzeum will be open for business, and a street party featuring Ben’s Bubble Show, The Rope Warrior, Richard Landry’s Magic Show, plus food, make-and-take crafts and more will occur outside from 12:30-5:30 p.m. For more information about the Kidzeum of Health and Science Children’s Museum, visit http://kidzeum.org or call 971-4435.
