As part of the American Legion Department of Illinois’ 100th annual convention at the Bank of Springfi eld Center next month, the legion will hold a hiring fair from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. for veterans and spouses of military members at the BOS center on July 13, which is a Friday, always a lucky day for job-seekers. After veterans and spouses of service members get fi rst crack, the hiring fair will open up to the general public at 11 a.m. and last until 2 p.m. The Illinois Department of Employment Security and the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs are cosponsoring the free event. The convention itself is scheduled to begin July 11 and conclude on July 15. Welcome, and thank you, veterans.
