Beginning Jan. 8 and continuing on the first Monday of each month through May 2018 is the new Mystery Movie Monday series at The Legacy Theatre. The series will feature films spanning a variety of decades from a wide mix of genres, ranging from comedy, drama, suspense, musical, western, romance or documentary. Films created prior to 1968 are unrated; films created after 1968 may be rated G, PG, PG-13 or R. This exciting new series is curated by Andy Egizi, who teaches a class titled “Hollywood Heritage: The Studio Age” at University of Illinois Springfield. Following each showing, Egizi will host a discussion with audience members. The Mystery Movie Monday pass costs $40 and covers all five films (one film per month, January through May) plus a complimentary bag of popcorn during each showing.
