Black Friday, Cyber Monday – there’s so many special days leading up to Christmas these days that who can keep track anymore? But one day should be on the calendar of folks who have sworn off malls and big box stores on the day after Thanksgiving. Inaugurated in 2015, Fun Frosty Friday will again be celebrated at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum on Nov. 24. Featuring a magician, balloon art, a blacksmithing demonstration, something called a barrel train and, of course, Santa Claus, the event on the library side of the ALPLM targets both the young and young at heart, and it’s free. Sadly, there will be no bloody mary bar, but if you’re into racing Hot Wheels cars while sipping cocoa and chatting with an ice princess, it’s a can’t-miss event. Doors open at 10 a.m., with the fun scheduled to wind down at 2 p.m. Go to www.PresidentLincoln.Illinois.gov for more information. See also
