Enjoy two days of panels and presentations about the political, cultural and social history of Illinois during the 19 th annual Conference on Illinois History, hosted by the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation Oct. 5-6. The Conference on Illinois History is open to anyone with an interest in Illinois history, and CPDU credits will be made available to attending teachers. Over the two-day period, attendees can choose up to eight out of 16 concurrent sessions on Illinois history. A luncheon presentation, available for just $15 per day, will be offered on Thursday and Friday, from noon through 1:30 p.m. Luncheon registrations must be submitted by Friday, Sept. 29. Conference registration will be available in advance online, as well as on-site beginning at 8 a.m. daily. Additional conference attractions will include a continental breakfast available until 9 a.m. both days, as well as daily exhibitors and book sales. All conference attendees are invited to attend a welcome reception on Thursday evening from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The welcome reception will feature a presentation by state historian Samuel Wheeler as well as a cocktail reception featuring light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar.
