Founded in Oak Park, Illinois, by artist Sabrina Ott and author John Paulett, the Terrain Biennial is an international exhibition of site-specific artwork created for front yards, balconies, porches and windows. The goal of the Terrain Biennial is to repurpose private space into public space, fostering creative dialogue between neighbors, artists and viewers. From Oct. 1 through Nov. 15, Enos Park will function as an outpost site for the third annual Terrain Biennial. The Terrain Biennial at Enos Park will feature work by national and international artists and curators. Projects will range from sculptural installations, to time-based performances, to public interventions. On Saturday, Sept. 30, join the Enos Park neighborhood along with curators, artists, property owners and community members in celebrating the Terrain Biennial with a tour of the Enos Park outpost sites from 5-8 p.m., followed by an after-party at the Springfield Art Association. A full list of participating Terrain Biennial cities and exhibition sites is available online at http://terrainexhibitions.com.
