Get ready to enjoy Decatur’s strongest summer tradition, as the Decatur Celebration roars to life for its 32 nd year. The longtime festival, which donates proceeds annually to local service organizations, boasts six stages of music featuring national and regional artists, three city blocks of full of artisans and crafters, a family-friendly carnival for the little ones, and more than 60 delicious food items for your perusal. This year’s musical headliners include country music legend Travis Tritt on Friday, rock star and reality TV superstar Brett Michaels on Saturday, and hiphop and rap star Nelly on Sunday. The annual Razzle Dazzle Goodtimes Parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Admission to Decatur Celebration is by the weekend, and is granted in the form of wristbands which cost $5 when purchased in advance or $8 at the gate. Anyone over age 13 must have a wristband in order to be admitted to the festival grounds, and attendees ages 21+ who wish to imbibe alcohol will need to purchase a $5 alcohol wristband using valid ID.
