The Sangamon County Fair has made some exciting pricing changes for the 2017 season. General fair admission has been lowered, and will cost $10 on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and $5 on Sunday. Admission is free to patrons ages 3 and under every day. Sunday is military day, which grants free admission to active duty and retired military members with a valid military ID. The grandstand concerts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights require tickets that cost $20 a piece when purchased in advance online at http://sangcofair.com. The $20 online advance price does include general fair admission; however, patrons purchasing concert tickets the day of the event will be subject to both the individual concert ticket fee plus the $10 general admission charge. This year’s grandstand concerts offer a blend of rock and country acts such as Trent Harmon with Michael Tyler Thursday, June 15; Aaron Lewis with The Steel Woods and Lick Creek Friday, June 16; and The Cadillac Three with Broseph E. Lee and Bailey Bryan Saturday, June 17. Other SCF attractions include queen and little miss pageants, department exhibits, livestock entries, a talent show, a chili cookoff, demolition derby, grounds acts, a carnival and midway hosted by Swyears Amusements (please note that the carnival will be closed daily from 5-6 p.m.), and the Miller Lite Beer Pavilion.
