Emerging from the remnants of several Springfield punk-pop-rock bands comes Andy Harmon, Alyssa Currie, Fred Malcom and Cory VanMeter to become a group self-described as, “pop, dusty, indie rock, power pop, punk” for starters. Doing the holiday walk at running speed, Attic Salt doubles the fun with two shows on Friday. First comes a set for the Black Sheep Holiday Ballroom Extravaganza with Fuck Mountain and Emasculate Regression in combination with a fundraiser for Southtown Sound, now involved in a Kickstarter project to raise funds to get the full-fledged recording studio off and running. Then they mosey downtown to the “It’s a Very NIL8 Christmas” at Bar None with NIL8 and The Timmys for a late night whoop-ti-do. They will be bearing gifts of special new T-shirts from MilesTShirtsDotCom that make spectacular holiday gifts and function fine as anytime apparel. Go find Attic Salt on Bandcamp and listen to the digital download of “Hometown” just released last Oct. 22 and recorded by Luke McNeill at Capitol City Recording. You will like it a whole bunch.
