Our limits change as we age, and when it comes to driving, minding those limits can mean the difference between life and death. The AARP Driver Safety Class is aimed at drivers over age 50, and it’s coming to Springfi eld on Aug. 30 and 31. Hosted by Staab Funeral Home and the offi ce of Sangamon County Circuit Clerk Paul Palazzolo, the class explains the effects of aging for drivers, teaches driving strategies that take aging into account and recounts what drivers need to know about today’s roads, traffi c laws, vehicles and other drivers. The class also helps drivers determine when it’s time to give up the keys, and if you take the class, you may be eligible for an insurance discount. The cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for nonmembers. It runs from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Aug. 30 and 31. Call 793- 4337 for more information.
