On Saturday, July 30, join Springfield’s Animal Protective League and 10 downtown bars for the APL’s Second Annual Underdog Crawl. The fun begins at Balen’s Bar and Grill with registration and complimentary breakfast from 8-10 a.m. The crawl officially begins at 10 a.m., when teams proceed to each of the 10 bars to complete a physical or mental challenge. The challenges do not need to be completed in any specific order, and teams will have eight hours to visit all bars and complete all challenges. After the challenges have been completed and verified by the APL, teams will be entered into a drawing for a $2,000 prize, with the winner being announced during the after-party from 6-9 p.m. at Floyd’s Thirst Parlor. Registration for The Underdog Crawl is open to individuals ages 21+ (no exceptions), and costs $60 per team of four.
