Learn how to bring your business-owning dreams to reality at the Starting Your Business in Illinois seminar on Wednesday, Aug. 19. The complimentary program, hosted by the Illinois Small Business Development Center, is offered monthly at Lincoln Land Community College’s Capital City Training Center. Prospective business owners will learn how to prepare a business plan; gain an understanding of business financing; practice filling out necessary legal forms for proprietorships, partnerships and corporations; learn how to register a DBA, and how to prepare and collect taxes. The Starting Your Business in Illinois program will also be offered on Monday, Aug. 24, at the Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce, from 9-11 a.m. To register for Wednesday’s program, or for more information about other ISBDC services, call 544-7232.
