What better way to wrap up a fun-filled weekend than watching the sun set while listening to a local band play the classics? The Springfield Municipal Band’s Sunset Concert offers exactly that on July 26 – a perfect chance to relax outside in a beautiful park and enjoy a bit of history and nostalgia. The Springfield Municipal Band was formed in 1936 and has about 50 musicians as members. They play light classical, patriotic, pop, big band and familiar jazz standards. The free concert begins at 7 p.m. in Southwind Park under the Selvaggio Arches. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and your own (non-alcoholic) refreshments.
