ART | Art en plein air

On Saturday, April 18, join the Prairie Art Alliance and Springfield Audubon Society to paint, draw, photograph, create and explore the beautiful grounds of Adams Wildlife Sanctuary. The second installment of Art at Adams Wildlife Sanctuary is open to artists of all ages, abilities and mediums. Artists are invited to attend scheduled programs, and/or drop in throughout the day to create. Highlights include the Springfield Audubon Society led bird walks at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m., the En Plein Air Talk and Demonstration by pastel artist Rich Ford on the trails at 9 a.m., a talk entitled, “The Art of Photographing Birds” by photographer Brian MacKenzie at 9:30 a.m., and family art projects from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., led by artists Teri Zucksworth, Dennis Morris and Priscilla Kluge.
