This spring, local foodies will enjoy the return of Slow Food Springfield’s annual morel mushroom dinners.

The dinners will be served Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2, from 6:30 to 9 p.m., at Maldaner’s Restaurant. A prepayment of $65 guarantees your place at the table plus a delicious, four-course dinner prepared by Slow Food Springfield chefs. Please indicate on your reservation if you would like to request a vegetarian meal, or to be seated with a particular party. Diners are asked to make reservations as soon as possible, as each dinner is limited to 55 patrons. Slow Food Springfield is the local branch of the Slow Food movement that arose out of Italy in 1986 with Carlo Petrini. The organization’s mission is to reintroduce people to the joys of locally sourced, thoughtfully prepared food.
