The second annual Central Illinois Junior First Lego League Expo will be Sunday, April 12, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., in Cass Gymnasium at Lincoln Land Community College. The expo showcases the work of 32 regional Junior First Lego League teams. The program, for children ages 6-9, states that their ultimate goal is to capture the curiosity of young children to help them explore how science and technology impact the world around them. Teams use Lego pieces and motorized moving parts to create and present new ideas and concepts as well as develop research, teamwork, critical thinking and other skills crucial to an understanding of science and technology.
