JOBS GALORE

Who says there are no jobs available? The Greater Springfi eld Chamber of Commerce is hosting employers from Springfi eld and the surrounding area for a Job and Career Fair next month, showcasing the jobs available here and the talent Springfi eld has to fi ll them. Illinois workNet Center, a state-run website listing jobs around Illinois, shows more than 560 jobs posted in the last two weeks for Springfi eld, ranging from Starbucks barista to insurance processor for Horace Mann. More than 40 employers are headed to the Chamber’s job fair, covering a broad array of careers. The event is sponsored by Lincoln Land Community College, Express Employment Professionals, Illinois workNet center, the Crowne Plaza Hotel, the Springfi eld Business Journal and Illinois Times. The Job and Career Fair is scheduled for 3 to 6 p.m. on April 7 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 3000 S. Dirksen Parkway.
