Business owners: what could you do with $30,000? Chances are, many business owners have a list of projects they’d tackle if the funds were to become available. Cable company Comcast wants to know what’s on your wish list, and they may give you a big wad of cash to scratch something off of it. Comcast’s second Innovations 4 Entrepreneurs Competition is offering a total of $450,000 for companies which demonstrate how technology can help them be better. Previous winners were chosen for such simple ideas as buying software to streamline their ordering process or moving all their documents to “the cloud” for better sharing and customer involvement. Comcast plans to offer $10,000 each to two businesses in each of its 16 business regions for a total of 32 businesses across the U.S. From those winners, six will receive an additional $20,000, plus a trip to Philadelphia and business advice from industry experts like celebrity chef Robert Irvine and Patrick Fitzgerald, director of Austin, Texas-based DreamIt Ventures. All you have to do to enter is submit a 250-word explanation of how technology could help your business. More information is available online at business.comcast.com/i4E.
