 FESTIVAL | Pioneer past Step into the past at the Clayville Fall Festival, Sept. 20-21. Families will have an entertaining and educational time at this old pioneer village that was once a stage coach stop for central Illinois. Kids can learn to make candles, churn butter and try their hand at tin punch art. Artisans will demonstrate quilting, outdoor cooking, willow furniture making, chair caning, whiskey distilling, dulcimer making and more. A host of 1800s and Civil War reenactors will bring to the grounds a touch of life from the prairie’s past. Folks are also sure to enjoy the antiques, crafts, collectibles, food, and tours of the Broadwell Inn and Tavern and the Batterton Cabin. See also
