For 25 years, Springfield Art Association has hosted its popular Edwards Place Fine Art Fair in the fall. In its 26th year, the weekend soirée features more than 80 artists and their work, Sept. 20-21. The fair will kick off with a rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner” by a group from Sacred Heart-Griffin High School. Other attractions include artists’ demos, a used book fair, some of the best local musicians, including Ben Bedford, Monica Morris, Josie Lowder, and children’s activities. Kids can make crafts, and visit Saturday with Bank of Springfield’s BOS Dog mascot. Kids of all ages can enjoy the interactive area where they can make and fly a paper airplane, paint a mural with rolling balls and participate in a life-sized game of Kerplunk.
