THEATER | Droll duo

Six performances of The Odd Couple take place, Jan. 24-26, 31 and Feb. 1-2. This classic comedy by Neil Simon opens with a group of guys in the middle of a heated poker game at the apartment of divorced sports writer Oscar Madison. And if the mess is any indication, it’s no wonder that his wife left him. Late to arrive to the game is Felix Unger who has just been dumped by his own wife. Fastidious, depressed and very tense, Felix seems suicidal, but as the action unfolds Oscar becomes the one with murder on his mind when the clean-freak and the slob ultimately decide to room together with hilarious results. Stars locals Johnny Molson (pictured, left) as Felix Unger and Gus Gordon (right) as Oscar Madison. Also with: Aasne Vigesaa, Sandy Fritz, Rich McCoy, Greg Floyd, John Paris and Matt Ratz and directed by Phil Funkenbusch.
